How It Works
Start with the part of the picture you want to change
Open one MP4, WebM, MKV, AVI, MOV, M4V, FLV, WMV or 3GP file, up to 100 MB. Your device may support a smaller file for on-device processing; an accepted extension does not guarantee that its video codec will play.
In Color Grading, use Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Gamma and Hue. Temperature is labeled Temp in the knob view and Temperature in the slider view.
For example, start with Brightness if a face is too dark, or lower Saturation if colors look too strong. Change one control at a time so you can judge what it does.
Expand Color Balance (Shadows / Midtones / Highlights) to adjust red, green and blue separately across those tonal areas. Use the section reset to return its controls to their defaults.
Check the processed color before saving
The live preview shows brightness, contrast, saturation and hue changes. Gamma, temperature and the separate color-balance controls need processing before you can judge their effect; the preview is not a complete view of the export.
In Output, choose MP4 or Web Video. Leave Resolution at Original to avoid requesting a resize. The Quality slider runs from Higher Quality to Smaller File; its starting value is 23.
Click Process Color Grade Video, then inspect the result before you Download it. Look at skin tones, bright areas and dark areas, and listen to the sound. Keep your original if you want to try another edit.
Web Video produces WebM content, but the downloaded filename may still end in .mp4. Check the actual format before using it in another app.
Questions about color grading
No. Brightness, contrast, saturation and hue have a live preview. Process the clip to check Gamma, Temperature and Color Balance, then judge the finished result.
The workspace creates a separate result for download. Keep your original so you can try another set of adjustments.
An eligible on-device task may offer a guest trial when your device and the current rollout allow it. Otherwise, sign in. Cloud processing uploads the file and uses credits; check the displayed mode and charge before starting.
Start by making the footage readable and reasonably balanced, then adjust its style. Check skin tones and bright areas as you change settings. Large color adjustments can make footage look dramatic while also hiding detail or producing unnatural colors.
Not reliably. If the recording did not capture detail in a bright area, darkening it will not recreate that detail. Compare adjustments against the original and keep expectations modest for severely overexposed footage.
