Cloud processing requires sign-in and uses credits. On-device access depends on the allowance and requirements shown in the tool.
Check the extension before you upload. Use this tool for .aac files. If yours ends in .m4a, open M4A to MP3 instead; changing the filename won’t convert the audio.
How It Works
Convert your AAC file
Open one .aac file, up to 100 MB, and wait for the audio to load.
In Options, choose Quality: 128, 192, 256, or 320. The default, 192, is a starting point. The numbers are the MP3 bitrate in kilobits per second: lower values use less audio data per second; higher values allow more.
Click Process AAC to MP3. When the result appears, play it back and click Download if needed. The tool also attempts an automatic download after five seconds.
Play the saved MP3 in the app or device you’re converting it for. Check the start and end, then listen to a passage with speech or music you know well.
Use the Quality control under Options
Use Quality under Options for this conversion. The separate Output Settings controls don’t change its format, bitrate, sample rate, or channels. Your download is an MP3.
If your file won’t load, try another browser or another copy of the recording. If on-device processing can’t finish, review the cloud option and its credit requirements before continuing.
Questions about AAC to MP3
No. You download a converted copy. Keep your original so you can try a different setting without converting the MP3 again.
No. A higher bitrate can limit additional compression damage, but it cannot restore detail missing from the AAC source. Keep the original and choose an MP3 setting that balances compatibility, file size, and the quality you can actually hear.
