How It Works
Choose what people can see
Select Share My Screen, then Share Screen inside the session. Use the browser’s picker to choose an available tab, window or screen. The choices depend on your browser.
After you start sharing, you may also see requests for microphone and camera access. Decide on each separately. If you need to share sound, check whether your browser offers an audio option and enables it.
Invite someone into the session
Send the room link or QR code, or give your viewer the room code to enter with Join. Both paths lead through sign-in before the viewer enters the session.
On the preview screen, check your display name. Microphone and camera start off; enable them if wanted, then select Join session. Choose Join view-only to watch without them.
Check the device and session limits
Sharing requires a browser with screen capture support. The current interface disables presenting on iPhone and iPad; those devices can use the joining flow. Actual playback and permissions depend on the browser.
Sessions have a 20-minute cap unless an active Day Pass removes it. Only one participant can present at a time. Check the session’s displayed limits before starting a longer walkthrough.
End the session when finished
Use Leave to disconnect and stop the local media started for the session. If you stop capture from the browser’s sharing indicator, screen sharing stops, but use Leave to exit the session too.
Close private tabs and notifications before you present. Share the smallest area that shows what you need—your viewers can see everything inside that area.
Questions about Screen Share
Yes. Sign in, leave microphone and camera off in the preview, and choose Join view-only. If permission is denied, the preview also offers a view-only path.
Screen capture requests audio, but available sources and audio options depend on the browser. Check the browser’s share-audio option and confirm that your viewers can hear it before relying on sound.
The interface blocks another screen share while a participant holds the sharing slot. Wait for them to stop before presenting.
Choose a specific tab or window when that option is available, close unrelated content, and hide notifications before sharing. Check the selected surface in the browser prompt. Stop sharing before opening information you do not want viewers to see.
