How It Works
Set Quality and Background
Add one WebP file, up to 100 MB. Leave Quality at its default for a first conversion. Lower it if you want to try more compression, then compare the saved picture rather than judging by the slider alone.
JPG can’t keep transparent areas. In on-device conversion, Background fills them with the color you choose:

Check the background in the saved JPG if you use cloud processing. That path may not apply your selected color, so don’t assume the preview or setting guarantees the final background.
Convert and inspect the JPG
Click Convert and download the result. Open it at the size you’ll actually use, paying attention to fine text, smooth gradients and the edges around the subject.
Check the saved dimensions before placing the JPG in a large layout. On-device conversion may reduce large images to a longest side of 4096 pixels, or 2048 on mobile and other slower devices.
