How It Works
Choose a video with spoken audio
Upload one MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, or AVI file, up to 500 MB. This tool needs a video with an audio track; a silent clip will not supply the speech you want captioned.
For example, start with a short interview answer or a product explanation. Keep the original video so you can return to it if the result needs another pass.
Generate and review your captions
Click Process Auto Captions. When the result is ready, play it and check the words against what the speaker actually says.
Pay particular attention to names, numbers, and changes between speakers. Check where each caption appears and whether you have enough time to read it.
Download the MP4 result after your review. If a caption is wrong, correct it in an editing workflow that lets you change the text before publishing.
Plan around a video download
Use this workflow when you want an MP4 result. If your next step requires a separate subtitle file, choose a workflow that explicitly exports that file type.
Common questions
Yes. Watch the full result and compare names, numbers, and overlapping speech with the recording. Check timing and whether captions cover important visuals. Correct mistakes in a caption editor before publishing; do not assume every generated word is right.
