Putting the subject on another design? Choose Transparent under Background. For a plain backdrop, choose White or Black.
How It Works
How to create a cutout
1. Upload your image
Select one JPG, JPEG, PNG or WebP image up to 25 MB. Choose the background you want before clicking Remove Background.
2. Inspect the subject outline
Look closely at hair, thin objects and spaces between parts of the subject. For example, check that a mug handle has an opening rather than a patch of the old background. The advanced controls include Threshold, Refine foreground edges and Alpha matting. If you change a setting, compare the next result with the first before keeping it.
3. Download and place the result
Use Download to save the WebP file. If you selected Transparent, place the cutout against the background where it will be used. That makes leftover edge color and missing detail easier to notice.
Fine edges need a closer look
Fine hair, transparent objects and reflections may not separate neatly from their surroundings. Keep the original and inspect the parts that matter to your design instead of assuming the whole subject was retained.
Common questions
No. This Pro workflow accepts one image at a time.
The download is WebP. It can retain transparency when you select Transparent; White and Black produce a solid background.
Hair, fur, glass, and translucent fabric blend with the background rather than having a solid boundary. Inspect those areas against both light and dark backgrounds. A clean-looking preview on one background can still have a visible fringe on another.
