How It Works
Add the video
Choose one MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI or MKV file, up to 500 MB. The file limit does not guarantee that every codec inside those formats will convert.
For a screen recording with unwanted microphone audio, make a silent copy here. Keep the original if you might need its sound later.
Remove audio without other edits
Leave the color, speed, text, effects and output settings unchanged, then click Process Remove Audio from Video.
Changing those extra controls can prevent audio removal. If you need other edits, finish them first and bring the edited file here for a separate mute pass.
With the editing controls unchanged, the tool copies the video stream and removes the audio. The output is an MP4; some video codecs may not work in that container.
Listen to the saved result
Use Download when processing finishes. An automatic download is also attempted about five seconds after the result is ready.
Play the downloaded file with your player’s sound turned on. Make sure the picture plays and the soundtrack is gone before sharing it; a muted preview player cannot confirm that.
Questions about Remove Audio from Video
No. Removing the audio track removes its voices, music, and other sounds together. Separating a mixed recording is a different task. Use a suitable audio-separation workflow if you need to retain part of the soundtrack.
It may be uploaded when cloud processing is used. On-device processing depends on your file, device and access eligibility; do not assume every task stays in the browser.
