Keep the passage you need: set its beginning and end, listen to the selection, and download an MP3 clip.
How It Works
Select the passage
Upload one MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG or FLAC file, up to 100 MB. The selection initially covers the whole recording.
Drag the edges of the highlighted region, or enter Start and End under Trim. Enter where the clip ends in the recording, not how long it lasts; Duration shows that length for you.
For example, a 30-second passage starting one minute into your recording needs Start at 01:00.000 and End at 01:30.000.
Click the play button titled Play trimmed region. If it cuts into a word or leaves a gap you don’t want, move the edge and listen again. Use Reset to select the full recording.
Save the clip
To make an MP3 clip without other changes, leave the sound and output controls at their defaults. Click Process MP3 Cutter, then Download. An automatic download may start after five seconds.
Open the saved clip and listen to its first and last words. Check its duration before sending it, and keep the original if you want another passage.
Questions about MP3 Cutter
No. The selection is one continuous region. Process and download each passage separately.
No. It also accepts M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG and FLAC. The default workflow saves an MP3 clip.
An abrupt cut can create a sudden waveform change. Move the boundary to a quieter point or apply a short fade in a separate editing step. Listen to both boundaries in the exported audio, not just the middle of the selection.
