A guest task may be available for eligible files. Further access depends on your account, allowance, plan or credits. Cloud processing uploads your file and uses credits; check the access shown before processing.

Start with a familiar detail: a sign, a logo or the side of the frame a person enters from. It gives you something concrete to check when you choose the reflection.

How It Works

Step 1Choose the reflection
Step 2Check the direction in the saved video

Choose the reflection

Add one video, up to 100 MB. Let it load before choosing your settings.

Under Transform, find Flip. ↔ Horizontal swaps left and right. ↕ Vertical swaps top and bottom. Select both if you want both reflections.

The editor initially shows both buttons off. Choose the direction explicitly before processing; do not rely on the initial display as a preview of the saved result.

Check the direction in the saved video

Keep MP4 selected under Output for this workflow. Click Process Flip Video. When processing finishes, use Download; an automatic download may also start after five seconds.

Open the saved video and check left/right orientation, top/bottom orientation and any text. Keep the original file so you can compare both versions.

Questions about Flip Video

A mirror reflection and a quarter turn are different changes. Use Rotation in Transform when the footage needs a 90° or 270° turn.

Writing, logos, and signs are mirrored along with the picture. Check them before using a flipped clip in a tutorial or presentation. Correcting a mirrored face may make other content in the frame read backward.

Select one MP4, WebM, MKV, AVI, MOV, M4V, FLV, WMV or 3GP file, up to 100 MB. Some codecs or files may still fail to open or process.

No. Flipping changes the spatial orientation of each frame. Reversing changes the order of the frames over time. Use Flip for a mirrored image and Reverse Video when you want the action to run backward.
