Convert FLAC to MP3
Make an MP3 copy of your FLAC recording, choose a bitrate, and keep the original for future edits.

Cloud processing requires sign-in and uses credits. On-device access depends on the allowance and requirements shown in the tool.
Keep your FLAC original. MP3 uses lossy compression, so the converted copy should not replace the source you want to keep for future edits.
How It Works
Convert your FLAC file
Open one .flac file, up to 100 MB, and wait for the audio to load. Work through a collection one recording at a time.
In Options, choose Quality: 128, 192, 256, or 320. The default, 192, is a starting point. The numbers are the MP3 bitrate in kilobits per second: lower values use less audio data per second; higher values allow more.
Click Process FLAC to MP3. When the result appears, play it back and click Download if needed. The tool also attempts an automatic download after five seconds.
Listen to the saved MP3 in the player you plan to use. Compare a detailed passage with your FLAC original before deciding whether the bitrate works for you.
Use the Quality control under Options
Use Quality under Options for this conversion. The separate Output Settings controls don’t change its format, bitrate, sample rate, or channels. Your download is an MP3.
If your file won’t load, try another browser or another copy of the recording. If on-device processing can’t finish, review the cloud option and its credit requirements before continuing.
Questions about FLAC to MP3
No. You download a converted copy. Keep your original so you can try a different setting without converting the MP3 again.
No. FLAC can preserve the decoded MP3 audio, but it cannot recover detail removed during MP3 encoding. Keep the original FLAC as your archive and make MP3 copies for devices or services that need them.
