For a backing track, start with the instrumental. For an edit that needs the voice on its own, choose vocals. If you need both parts, download them together and review each track separately.
How It Works
Bring one audio file
Upload one MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, AAC, or WMA file up to 100 MB.
Choose the parts you need
Under Extract, choose Instrumental Only, Vocals Only, or Both Tracks (Separate Files). Start with 2-Stem (Vocals + Music) under Stem Separation for the vocal-and-music split.
For more parts, Stem Separation also offers 4-Stem (Vocals/Drums/Bass/Other) and 6-Stem (Full Separation). Choose the separation you need, review the displayed credit charge, then select Process.
Open the right download
With two-stem separation, a single instrumental or vocal output downloads as WAV. Both Tracks (Separate Files) downloads as ZIP. Four-stem and six-stem selections also download as ZIP.
Extract the ZIP before opening its tracks in your audio editor. Listen to the beginning, a busy section, and the ending of each track. Check for remnants of the other parts before using the separation in your mix.
Questions about Vocal Remover
Yes. Choose Vocals Only under Extract. For the vocal and instrumental together, choose Both Tracks (Separate Files).
Both Tracks, four-stem, and six-stem selections return a ZIP archive. Extract it to work with the separate tracks.
Vocals can overlap with instruments or share effects such as reverb. Separation may leave traces of the voice or remove some instrumental detail. Listen to quiet sections and vocal-heavy passages before deciding whether the instrumental is suitable for your use.
