A speaker in front of a busy room needs a different backdrop from an overlay for your next edit. Choose the background for where your clip will go.
How It Works
Start with a short clip
Upload one MP4, WebM, MKV, AVI, or MOV file up to 25 MB. Your clip must also stay within 60 seconds, 1,800 frames, and 60 fps, with even pixel dimensions and no more than 3,840 × 2,160 pixels in total.
All of these limits apply together. At 60 fps, 1,800 frames covers 30 seconds. Trim the clip before uploading if it exceeds either the duration or frame limit.
Describe what stays in the shot
In Subject to Keep, describe the person or object you want to retain. Use details you can see in the frame, such as “the speaker in blue on the left.” Keep the description between 1 and 200 characters.
Choose Replace Background: None (Transparent), Green Screen, Blurred, White, or Black. Under Frame Rate, keep Auto (Match Original) or choose 15, 24, or 30 FPS.
Select Process. When the result is ready, watch the subject through the clip before downloading. Check hair, hands, and moments when someone passes in front of the subject.
Match the download to your next edit
None (Transparent) downloads as WebM. The green, blurred, white, and black choices download as MP4.
For an overlay, check that your destination editor supports transparent WebM. For green-screen output, you will need to remove the green background in your destination editor.
Questions about Video Background Remover
The available choices are transparent, green, blurred, white, and black. There is no custom background upload control in this tool.
File size, frame count, frame rate, and dimensions also apply. A clip above 1,800 frames or 25 MB exceeds the limits even if it is shorter than 60 seconds.
Motion blur, loose hair, and a subject that blends into the background can make the boundary vary between frames. Review the moving result rather than a single still. Footage with clearer separation and more even lighting usually gives the tool a better starting point.
