How It Works
Set the start and end of your clip
Open one MP4, WebM or MOV file, up to 500 MB. Your device may allow a smaller file for on-device processing.
In Trim, drag the selection edges or type Start and End using minutes, seconds and milliseconds. Keep End later than Start, then check Duration to see how much you’re keeping.
Use Play trimmed region to watch and listen to your selection. For example, leave a little room before the first word of an explanation and after the final word so the speaker doesn’t sound cut off.
Leave other editor settings at their defaults while trimming. Combining the cut with effects or Output changes can leave the selected trim unapplied; make those edits to the saved clip separately.
Process and save the shorter copy
Click Process Trim Video, then use Download when the result is ready. Play the saved copy from start to finish: do both cut points feel right, and does the sound end where you expect?
Keep your original recording so you can make a different cut later. Shortening the clip re-encodes it; check the picture and sound before using the new copy.
Questions about trimming video
Selecting a start and end keeps that continuous section. Removing a section from the middle requires keeping the parts on either side and joining them in a separate editing workflow. Check the downloaded clip to confirm that it contains the intended range.
Check Start, End and Duration. The initial selection covers the full recording. Move at least one boundary inward to shorten it, and leave other editor settings unchanged while trimming.
