Convert a MOV video to MP4
Have a MOV clip that you need as MP4? Add one video, keep MP4 selected, and save a converted copy for sharing or playback.

A qualifying on-device guest trial may allow one task. Otherwise sign-in is required; local allowance and online credit requirements depend on your account and processing mode.
The converter re-encodes the video rather than just renaming the file. Keep the MOV original: an MP4 extension does not guarantee identical picture quality or playback in every app.
How It Works
Convert one MOV file
1. Add your video
Choose one MOV file up to 100 MB. This page processes one video at a time, not a batch.
2. Keep MP4 selected
In Output, keep MP4 selected and Resolution set to Original for a basic format conversion. You can leave the additional color, geometry and effects controls unchanged.
The studio has a Quality slider between Higher Quality and Smaller File. Its initial label does not reliably describe the unchanged conversion preset. If you adjust it, compare the exported video and file size rather than assuming a particular quality level.
3. Process and save
Click Process MOV to MP4. Review any sign-in or processing-mode requirement shown before proceeding. When the result is ready, choose Download; an automatic download is also attempted.
Open the saved MP4 in the app where you plan to use it. Check both ends of the clip, picture detail and whether the sound stays in sync. Keep the MOV original for another attempt if needed.
Conversion limits to check
The standard conversion creates an MP4 video with re-encoded audio when an audio stream is present. It does not promise to preserve every alternate audio track, subtitle track or item of metadata.
A smaller file is not guaranteed. If the MOV contains HDR footage, a format change alone may not solve washed-out playback on an SDR display; use HDR to SDR for that task.
Questions about MOV to MP4
Eligible files can use on-device processing. Device capability and codec support affect whether it can finish. Online processing uploads the video and uses credits; follow the mode and access prompt shown for your file. Some processing errors may also send the input for diagnostics, so on-device processing is not a never-uploaded guarantee.
No. Add and convert one file at a time on this page, with a 100 MB limit for each input.
No. Renaming a file does not change its encoded video or audio. This tool performs a conversion and saves a separate result.
Do not assume it will. Changing the container or encoding is a different task from mapping HDR footage to SDR. If the result looks washed out in the destination player, check whether the source is HDR and use the HDR to SDR workflow where appropriate.
