How It Works
Convert one AVI file
Choose an AVI up to 500 MB. Have several files? Convert them one at a time in this workspace.
Keep MP4 selected under Output. For a straightforward conversion, leave the editing controls unchanged. Click Process AVI to MP4.
Need to adjust the copy? Move Quality toward Higher Quality or Smaller File, and use Resolution if you want a preset size instead of Original. Check the result rather than expecting a guaranteed size or appearance.
Download and try the MP4
Click Download when the result is ready. The studio also attempts an automatic download after processing finishes.
Try the MP4 in the player you plan to use. Check a few points from beginning to end, listen to the sound, and look at any text in the picture. Keep the AVI until the copy meets your needs.
Questions about AVI conversion
No. The video is re-encoded for MP4. Do not assume the output will look identical or be smaller than the source.
Do not assume so. The workspace has no track-selection controls. Check the downloaded copy if you need a particular audio track or subtitles.
The upload limit is separate from the amount your device can process. If on-device processing cannot handle the video, check the available cloud option and its credit requirement.
AVI is a container that can hold different types of encoded video and audio. Two files with the same extension can therefore need different decoding support. If one fails, check that it plays correctly and try a fresh copy of the original.
