How It Works
Open a recording
Open one MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, AAC or WMA file, up to 100 MB. Keep the original if you may want to return to the sound before adding echo.
Set the echo
Start in Options. Delay sets how long the echo waits, in milliseconds; Decay sets its level. The starting values are 300 milliseconds and 0.3.
Try one change at a time. A longer Delay moves the echo farther from the original sound; a lower Decay makes it quieter. Delay runs from 50 to 1,000 milliseconds, and Decay from 0.1 to 0.9.
Leave Effects Chain unchanged for this workflow. Its controls can override the Delay and Decay values in Options when you export.
Process and listen
Click Process Audio Reverb to make an MP3 copy. The download starts automatically when your access allows it; you can also use Download in the result.
Listen between phrases and at the end of the saved file. For example, if an echo from one line gets in the way of the next, lower Decay or shorten Delay.
Questions about audio reverb
No. The reverb effect adds an echo-like sense of space. It is not an echo-removal tool. If the recording already sounds distant or reverberant, adding more of the effect may make speech harder to understand.
The added reflections overlap later sounds and can blur the ends of words. Use a shorter delay or lower decay and listen to complete sentences. Keep the effect subtle when intelligibility matters more than a spacious sound.
No. Reverb changes the sense of space around the sound; changing speed changes its timing. Use Audio Speed for tempo changes and Reverb for an echo-like effect. Review the combined result if you apply both in separate steps.
