How It Works

Step 1Set the speed for your saved file
Step 2Process and listen to the result

Set the speed for your saved file

Choose one MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, AAC, or WMA file, up to 100 MB.

Set Speed under Options. Choose from 0.25× to 4× in steps of 0.25; 1× keeps the original pace. For example, start at 0.75× if a spoken passage is moving too quickly.

Leave Volume & Pan at its defaults for this speed-only workflow. Changing those effects can prevent the selected Speed value from reaching the saved result.

Process and listen to the result

Keep the output set to MP3 and click Process Audio Speed. Changing the playback speed near the player alone does not set the speed of your saved file.

Listen to fast speech or detailed musical passages in the processed recording. Click Download to save it; an automatic download may also start after processing. Keep the original so you can try a different speed.

Questions about audio speed

The speed operation uses tempo adjustment intended to preserve pitch. Listen to the result before using it; a large speed change can still alter how a recording sounds.

Doubling the speed approximately halves the duration; halving the speed approximately doubles it. For example, a two-minute recording becomes about one minute at 2x. Check the exported result before using it in a timed presentation.

Large timing changes can make voices and instruments sound less natural even when pitch is preserved. Try a setting closer to the original speed and listen to a representative passage. Use the lowest change that achieves your goal.

Yes. Slower audio can make individual notes and rhythms easier to follow. Keep your original recording and increase the speed gradually as you practice. Very slow settings may introduce audible artifacts.
